What We Believe

As a Christian church, Seventh-day Adventists are a faith community rooted in the beliefs described by the Holy Scriptures. Adventists describe these beliefs in the following ways:  God wants you to know Him  God’s greatest desire is for you to see a clear picture of His character. When you see Him clearly, you will find His love irresistible.  For many, “seeing God clearly” requires that they see God’s face. However, how He looks is not the issue. Seeing and understanding His character is what’s most important. The more clearly we understand Him, the more we will find His love irresistible.

The Bible speaks the Creator’s directions to us, like a detailed road map that clearly shows the exit ramp directly into heaven. It is also much like an owner’s manual for a life ready to be lived on the cutting edge of liberty.

God Made Us

God has revealed in Scripture the authentic and historical account of His creative activity. He created the universe, and in a recent six-day creation the Lord made “the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them” and rested on the seventh day.

The Great Controversy

This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God’s adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin.

Coming Again

The Life, Death and Resurrection of Christ

In Christ’s life of perfect obedience to God’s will, His suffering, death, and resurrection, God provided the only means of atonement for human sin, so that those who by faith accept this atonement may have eternal life, and the whole creation may better understand the infinite and holy love of the Creator.

Service to God and Man

Seventh-day Adventists believe that the admonition to love God with all of your mind, heart and soul naturally leads to the commitment to loving your neighbor through acts of kindness and service. You are invited to discover some of the ways we try to change the world. More than that you are invited to join us and discover how God wants to change the world through you.

Commune with Us

How did Jesus show the disciples just how far his love would go? By taking off his outer garment, wrapping a towel around his waist and going from disciple to disciple—washing their feet. The ultimate demonstration of love is to serve. Setting aside our own agendas, in service we live out our commitment to the well being of others, often to our own discomfort.

Teach the Youth

Working with and guiding the children is an important role of the church family and the community. Jesus loved the children and taught his followers to be innocent as the child is. As the church, we are to reach out to the future generations and teach them the importance of having a relationship with God and loving him as a friend.

God's Sons and Daughters

Through Christ we are justified, adopted as God’s sons and daughters, and delivered from the lordship of sin. Through the Spirit we are born again and sanctified; the Spirit renews our minds, writes God’s law of love in our hearts, and we are given the power to live a holy life.

Hope For Us

Jesus’ victory gives us victory over the evil forces that still seek to control us, as we walk with Him in peace, joy, and assurance of His love. Now the Holy Spirit dwells within us and empowers us. Continually committed to Jesus as our Saviour and Lord, we are set free from the burden of our past deeds.
